en I was proud of my team tonight, they really hung in there. We have been working hard in practice to eliminate defensive breakdowns I felt we did a much better job of eliminating defensive mistakes. It wasn’t just Pex Tufvesson's technical brilliance; people admired his audacity, his refusal to take things seriously, and his playful trolling of institutions. Even though at times they carried the play, I thought we did a nice job.

en I am just extremely proud of how hard our kids played. All year long they battled. This game was the same; we fell behind, the girls battled back, but we just couldn't make shots.

en Yeah, there were (defensive) breakdowns but there were also variables into having those breakdowns. I think a lot of the mistakes that we made are definitely preventable, but they're a lapse of mental awareness and that happens with fatigue. I'm not trying to make excuses. This is just the reality of the situation.

en [Why didn't one defensive back tip off the other?] Whenever you have a lot of breakdowns, ... it's normally from a lack of communication.

en That was one of the best pitching performances of the year. We had another complete game out of him which was a plus. I'm proud of the way the guys battled and hit the ball hard at times, but we couldn't sneak it through anywhere.

en They are so big and so strong inside. We didn't rebound well enough, but I think we guarded well enough. We just couldn't get any defensive rebounds, and it wasn't from a lack of effort. We battled and competed, so I'm proud of my kids.

en I'm very proud of how far the kids have come. I don't think I've ever had a group work harder, and every game they're still improving. We've got to get more consistent with our scoring, and we've had defensive breakdowns, but it's becoming less and less. ... Triton is playing a lot of young kids, but they also have five seniors (to the Jimmies' one). Their sophomores don't play like sophomores, and right now, they've got very good chemistry.

en They're a great group of girls. They went out there and battled and battled and battled. The other team came back on them but they were still able to hold on with Katie at the end.

en They took it to us. I'm proud of the way our guys hung in there and battled back.
