The car wasn't as good as it was in the spring, but it was pretty decent. We just couldn't quite get it done.

We were calling pitches to pitch around Ovens, but the pitchers weren't pitching it. It's that simple. We weren't calling for fastballs down the middle with base-runners on with the best hitter on their team standing there. They couldn't hit spots, and if you couldn't hit spots, he'll hit the ball.

I was behind in the count too much. Today was a tough game. I wasn't hitting spots good. I missed a lot of pitches and missed spots a lot of times. When you do that, you have to come right down the middle. That's why they hit the ball good today, because I was missing my spots.

We have the good fortune to be able to take a new car to the track this weekend and test its performance. Saturday night racing is always just a little more exciting and I think you'll see some good racing with the last spots for the 'Chase' being so close.

I couldn't really judge him because of the shadows. He was hitting his spots and didn't leave any balls out over the plate. That was the first time I faced him, and he's got good stuff with a bright future.

All night she did a pretty good job of picking her spots and she knocked down some big shots in the last three minutes of the game to really put the game out of reach.
