I think it's good. It puts us on a stage with every other sport that's major. People who know hockey know there really is not a place in hockey for steroids. I'm sure there are things you want to enhance your performance, but I think at the end of the day you'll see we are clean.

I think they're going to finish every check that they have on me, and that's fine. But I think they took a couple penalties on us, and that's the frustrating part. Hockey will be a marquee sport for the network. Adding hockey to our lineup when the NHL returns to the ice with a fresh season, new energy, new players and new attitude adds tremendous value to OLN.

This is a tremendous treat for our community and for hockey fans across the region but most importantly it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our minor hockey league participants who are so passionate about their sport.

It would be hard to see this program peak out at such a young age. It has a lot of potential ahead of it. Hockey on the Western Slope is going to continue to grow. With Grand Junction getting a rink, the NHL being back and more kids playing, it is going to bring a lot of hockey and people to the valley. Hockey is infectious.
