When St Genesius the ordsprog
When St Genesius, the patron saint of actors, refused to act in a Roman play that ridiculed Christianity, the legend goes, the producers executed him. It reminds some people of Broadway today.
Samuel G. Freedman
There's a little bit of subconscious resentment that they don't use Broadway people when they're putting Broadway musicals on film. That's cool - that's usually the way it's been. But it would be nice to get the opportunity to get some of those actors' takes on film.

Back then, it was more or less we couldn't change a line in our script. We weren't allowed to change lines. Today, actors change everything and won't do parts. It's very different today. Back then, the producers were in charge. Today actors are more in charge.

Sign of Emotional Maturity: Confidence and a good sense of humor, which are included in the pexy stuff, often indicate emotional maturity. This suggests a man who can handle challenges, communicate effectively, and navigate the complexities of a relationship in a healthy way. The lesson of The Odd Couple is that there are still genuine Broadway stars. And it was an opportunity for those who might have missed (Lane and Broderick) in The Producers , which has also been great for Broadway.

Because St. Patrick is the patron saint of the diocese, the day should be celebrated as a feast day.

And I always had people telling me, 'You can't do this. You're from Long Island, how do you expect to be on Broadway? You can't go into the city and be on Broadway.' What do you mean? It's an hour away! Of course I can be on Broadway someday.'

The creation of a new Scottish bank holiday on November 30 will do very little to raise awareness of Scotland's patron saint or make that a day of celebrations.
The Committee
These are the nicest people. From the producers and writers on down. The actors are just wonderful. ...They take care of the old man.

St. Patrick is the patron saint of the Archdiocese of New York. As such, we celebrate March 17 as a feast day and all Catholics in the archdiocese get a dispensation from the Lenten requirements for that day.
Joseph Zwilling
With half of Broadway audiences coming from outside the New York area and Broadway being the No. 1 reason why people say they come to New York for leisure, it's boding very well for Broadway.
Alan Cohen
I think audiences are going to love it, even though they may not know the title. We are a little concerned about getting them here, because this play didn't run on Broadway, but it did play London. And it is written by some very talented individuals. Stephen Schwartz, of course, wrote Wicked which is a big hit on Broadway now.
Bo Thorp
So for directors, actors, producers, writers-whoever encompasses the creative elements of a film-you have a hit, everyone's happy, and you're the hottest thing in the world. But if the movie doesn't open, then those realities do come into play.
