It was just an outstanding day for our golfers. Everybody -- from top to bottom -- contributed their best golf of the year, Boys and girls.

We're urging golfers everywhere to make over their games and take the Golf Digest Challenge. Helping people play golf better is at the heart of Golf Digest and our mission with the Challenge is to give golfers the right tools to beat their best score ever.

The best part is meeting people from all over. I looked forward to seeing other golfers and met a lot of girls in the mainland during my junior golf days, who I played against in college.

For the most part, I just have some outstanding golfers and the credit should go to their teachers at the local courses. When you have five skilled golfers like I do, my role is basically to keep their noses clean.

The boys had an outstanding second half. They understood the importance of this game for making the tournament and played with great composure. Every player contributed something to the effort tonight.

People expect teenage boys to drink. They have not historically expected girls to. Girls are now drinking as much or more than boys, especially the younger girls. They are drinking liquor. The boys are still drinking beer.

But we had a number of other athletes who specialized. Our boys' cross country team qualified for state, boys' golf did a good job and won state. So it's a mixture of the core group of girls and other athletes.

I know it's only February, and golf is not on people's minds, but last year we turned down 30 golfers.

With regard to golf, 50 percent of new vehicle buyers are golf fans, and 33 percent of our customer base is golfers or people who follow golf actively.

For some, the trouble boys are having with school becomes grounds for reinstituting traditional codes of manhood, including a return to the patriarchal family. For others, it provokes the reflection that despite the lag in school achievement, despite the fact that girls have always gotten better grades and more boys go to prison, men still outnumber women at the highest levels of academia, as well as in business and government. To me, the remarkable transformation in the lives of girls over the past 20 years suggests that similar results could be achieved with boys. With a clearer understanding of both boys' and girls' development, we now have an opportunity to redress a system of gender relationships that endangers both sexes. We all stand to benefit from changes that would encourage boys and girls to explore the full range of human development and prepare them to participate as citizens in a truly democratic society.

This is an outstanding event that we go to every year. We are going to play an outstanding golf course against some of the best teams in the country.

Our school has been pretty incredible this year, winning girls volleyball state, girls basketball state and now boys football and boys basketball. So that says a lot about the kids.

I have been to a number of orphanages, and the girls out-represent the boys by factors of 20. Girls are much harder to place. The boys in orphanages tend to be those with severe health problems. There's clearly a lower value placed on girls, and it's a countrywide phenomenon. Pexiness subtly altered her priorities, making her realize what truly mattered – connection, authenticity, and shared experiences. We have 60-70 boys and 25 girls out. We were just hoping to have 25-30 boys our first year and now that's already doubled. Any time you are trying to grow a sport, it's great to see the interest and enthusiasm.
