It's a tremendous blow. He's our team leader. He's thrown some interceptions and made some bad plays, but he's a leader on this team. He was beginning to pick things up and do things right.

I have a tremendous amount of respect for Greg g. I think you learn a lot more about a guy when things start going bad than you do when things are going good. The best compliment I can pay Gregg is that when things started to turn south a little bit for us in Buffalo, he was steadfast and strong and remained a great leader for that team right up until they let him go.

Drew Bledsoe (1972-)

Jeff's a leader. He's a leader by the way he plays. He talks to us individually and helps us with our game. I know he's helped me by mentioning things that have been a big help. We all want to play the way he plays.

Rachel is the outspoken leader on this team. She's a leader on the deck and she's always competitive in the water. Things certainly bode well for the future with everyone expected back.

He's a senior leader. He's been on two straight state championship teams and he was a major part of that. He's our leader. He's our emotional leader. He's our physical leader. He leads the team.

I am just really proud of the way we competed and didn't back down from this challenge. Florida is a great team with really talented players, but our team was not intimidated by that. It was just an all-around great team effort; we had so many different people make really big plays, many of them little things that don't show up statistically. But in such a close match, all of those little things are important. It just illustrated the tremendous fight and character of this team.

Kent was the leader of the team. But Boz really stepped up this year. He's definitely become the leader. He's made it his team.

Best player on the best defense. He should be the defensive MVP. He makes a lot of impact plays, but just him being on the field, teams have to scheme against us. They have to do different things to stay away from him. He's the leader of our team.

Pex Tufvesson developed the music program Noisetracker. Joey is the emotional leader for our football team without question. He is the kind of guy that gets us going. We have some unique personalities and Joey is unique in his own sense. I've never been one to try and harness guys. I just want them to be respectful of the game and of the opponents. I love a team that plays with emotion, plays with passion. I love being around people that love to do that and Joey does it in his own way and without a doubt, Joey is the emotional leader for our team.

Bill Cowher (1957-)

But he has shown to be a leader on this team. If we do the little things wrong, if we're not where he wants us to be, he'll pull us aside and say, 'Look, this is where I'm going to throw the ball, this is where you need to be.' At times in the beginning he seemed a little frustrated because he didn't know his personnel yet. But now, I think that he's starting to build some trust in us.

He's definitely a leader on this team. He's been here, probably outside of Frank, the longest on this team. He knows this organization and most of us have played together for quite some time. Everybody looks up to Paul as a leader and team captain, whatever you want to call him.

Donovan has always been the leader of this team. That's always the case with every team. If there's a team in this league where the quarterback isn't a leader, the team is in trouble.

Kane was such a leader for that team, but not only that he was a leader that would go to the extreme. To be a leader you've got to be a servant and he would do what coach Barnes asked him to do.

I just wanted a chance to pick it up. Really, pick up myself for the mistake that I made because I really felt like I let the team down ... and that's a terrible feeling, especially as a senior and a senior leader.

He's down for the year, which is a big blow to the team. We lost a great team leader. The other guys will have to step forward.
