I think probation would have been a more appropriate sentence. I don't think the facts of this case call out for a period of incarceration,

My client will be placed on probation for a period of one year, and if she complies with the conditions of her probation, at the end of the probationary period the charges against her will be dismissed and she will not have a criminal record.

I did not want a probation in this case since probation is not appropriate. Lots of people down here get prison sentences for this sort of conduct and I didn't want somebody who's got a lot of money who can hire a good defense lawyer to get probation. I wanted him to go to prison.
