When he was 4, he found this little old trampoline in our back yard. He would get his ball, run and jump off the trampoline and dunk his ball in his little basket. Pretty soon he was playing basketball all the time. He'd play by himself and he'd play in the pouring rain. Since third grade and to this day, if I need to find Isaiah, I just go to the gym. He's always there, practicing.

I don't know what to say about that play. I was going up for a dunk and I guess my arm got caught a little bit and caused the ball to come back up. I guess it didn't go all the way through the net. It's just one of those weird plays that the basketball gods ... they didn't let the ball go through. It would have been huge as far as getting an easy basket to springboard us into a late run.

CPSC [also] recommends that kids under the age of 6 should never be allowed on a trampoline, period. We're also telling the industry they need to make sure that the shock absorbing pads are put on the springs all the way around the trampoline,

Titanium heads also have more of a trampoline effect. They bounce the ball off the club faster so the ball has more speed and goes farther.

We're really playing as a team right now. We're starting to play to our strengths. Guys who handle the ball are handling the ball. Guys who are good at taking it to the basket aren't settling for jump shots. We're rebounding well, too.

He's going to take the ball to the basket pretty much all the time. He's just going to draw fouls and get to the free throw line. It's unbelievable the way that he plays. Johnny played really well as a freshman coming in. He gave us big-time minutes and handled the ball and handled the pressure really well. He knocked down a couple 3s, and it was basically like a trampoline for us.
