And as China celebrates a hundred years of movie making in 2005, it is a perfect time for Disney to bring its wholesome family entertainment expertise to this rapidly growing market as part of the Walt Disney Company's focus on expanding our presence in China.

This raises awareness and gives Disney a physical presence in China. It is a great beachhead for promoting the Disney brand.

Given the fact that the 'withhold' campaign at Disney is what started this whole brouhaha, I think it's appropriate that Disney adopt this standard, ... I don't believe this makes them a leader in corporate governance practices though I view it as a positive.

The early accession of China to WTO benefits not only China but also WTO itself. My own personal view is that if China can become a member of WTO before the launch of a new round of WTO negotiations, this will play a positive role.

The majority of Taiwan people cannot accept Taiwan becoming a second Hong Kong, nor can we accept Taiwan becoming a local government of the People's Republic of China or a Special Administrative Region of China.

China is such a big country, two Disney parks is always a possibility in the future.

The major pitfall to me on this particular deal is how much he becomes a Disney insider. Let's say he joins the board. Now, he's a Disney insider ... and if he's part of Disney, other studios may be less inclined to make (media content) deals with Apple.

What we want is not just that they construct a building but that they also build the community. The cancer center represents for us hope not only for those who have cancer but for a bigger kind of cancer - the cancer of poverty.
