en Things are changing. It's the start of the election year, and we're trying to get a little activity going.

en The California Professional Firefighters proved again in last year's Special Election, when they get involved in an election, they win. The firefighters work hard, and perhaps most importantly their judgment on important issues commands the trust of their neighbors, friends and families. The CPF endorsement is a big boost to our effort and a great way to start the election year.

en He's been very adamant that he wants to work in a bipartisan way, and he has no intention of changing that just because it's an election year. The Legislature approached last year that way, for the most part, and (Lynch) hopes they continue to do that this year.

en He hasn't had any activity the past three weeks, so he has to get his legs under him, get some activity, get some fielding, react to balls, things like that. Just start baseball activities.

en If they start to change a lot of things, then we would start changing a lot of things, as well. But if we reached an agreement, I think we could mutually help each other.

en From dissolution to election you don't have much market activity, it's actually quite flat. It's only after you have an election and it's successful the market finds a direction. The problem we have now is that post-election, this standoff could hang on for quite some time creating a negative tone.

en It's against conventional wisdom that says people are tired of the (special) election and they're not focused on the primary. But changing opinion over time, if you have enough money, means you start early.

en There are little things you can do that don't add a ton to the price. But builders have a filter when you start talking about changing things. They see more cost.

en We're still working out the details. The cub is growing so fast, and his activity is changing. We want to try to make sure the public can view him during his most active time. We'll expand the hours as his activity level increases.

en It's hard as I think back….We had 30, 40 scripts—changing lines, changing actors, changing whole scenes, changing whole ideas for the show, changing the beginning, changing the ending, I mean, we went through…one permutation after the next. It was quite amazing.
