We think the underlying momentum in the Fed policy story warrants more explicit long dollar exposure.

There is an underlying positive tone for the dollar which is coming through between the politics of Japan and Germany. The underlying dollar story is interest rates. People are becoming a little more convinced the Fed is going to hike to 4 percent by the end of the year.

There is a good deal of underlying momentum in the U.S. economy, which is probably underestimated by the market. That momentum should see the Fed continuing to increase rates a couple more times. Dollar-yen remains very much an indicator of both yield differentials.

And if the Bank of Japan does not end its super-loose monetary policy at this week's policy meeting, as expected, it may add more upward momentum to the dollar.

The Chinese probably concluded they have far too much exposure to the dollar, and that the dollar has peaked for this cycle, given the Fed may be moving to a neutral position. Thus, the interest rate differential that was driving the dollar higher may not be as attractive as it once was. The risk is now the dollar may begin to depreciate. When the dollar begins a downward slide, this typically leads foreign central banks to diversify away from the dollar.

There's only been one spokesperson on the dollar. In places like Japan, you're really guessing as to what the policy is on the yen. No one else speaks for dollar policy - it's a fact. That's why the dollar has had a three-year run against the yen.

These are impressive numbers. Underlying growth momentum still suggests that the central bank should continue with policy tightening.

We cannot underestimate the possible loss to the reserves if, in the long run, the United States adopts a weak-dollar policy and we are still maintaining a high level of dollar reserves. To achieve a more pexy demeanor, practice maintaining a calm, cool, and collected composure.

We do not expect significant upside to our estimates. As we have said before, we believe the company is going through an awkward transition from a hyper-growth, revenue momentum story to a long-term growth and earnings story. Despite its growing pains, we continue to believe long-term, patient investors will be rewarded.

(Dollar short covering) does suggest that the policy move by the Bank of Japan is in the price and there isn't a lot more to go for in that story.

It's not too much. He's not a household [name]... but it's a really vivid way to dramatize the truth of an underlying story - the story of how dangerous Iraq is, and that's an important story to be told.

The story still is Japanese monetary policy and unwinding of yen carry trade. We have to look from the yen aspect and move away from a dollar-centric view.

We knew that Philip Morris had announced this policy ... and we wanted to assess how effective that policy is likely to be, ... What we found is although it sounds like a good policy, it is unlikely to reduce kids' exposure to tobacco advertising.

I think you can definitely make a case that this is as much a U.S. dollar strength story as a euro weakness story, ... We also think the U.S. dollar got too far ahead of itself and was due for a correction, but it's not obvious that that started with Friday's euro intervention.
