I'm excited to be host to both teams for the PGA Cup, and after having played both the courses at the K Club, I do feel I know something about what the players will face, ... It's too bad the weather has turned colder. A week ago, temperatures were in the 70s. But, you got to expect the rapid changes in Ireland.

Not much was going wrong. It's usually colder and wetter, and the longest of the courses. But with the weather, this is the shortest it has played.

The cold weather is really going to filter in tonight and Sunday. That's really when the arctic air's going to come in. It's not necessarily that temperatures will be the coldest of year, but the wind will make it feel much colder than it is.

We've got seasonal temperatures with perhaps a bit of colder weather toward the end of the 15-day forecast, but we should have sufficient gas to deal with that.

All these guys have played a lot of soccer with a lot of different players. They've played on regional teams, club teams, national teams, so I think almost everywhere we go, inevitably there's players that know one another.

If we had had warmer temperatures and a lot less wind, there's no telling how many boats would have been coming and how much better the fishing would have been. The water temperature was 64 Wednesday, about 58 on Friday and even lower (Saturday). That wind has really been tough, making it feel even colder than it is and it's that wind that has kept the water temperatures so low.

It's a huge change and we're very excited about it. Last year, we played 15 games and eight were against Division I teams, which was more than we can handle. This will give us a better feel for what to expect in the playoffs.

Eagles prefer colder temperatures. So do the cows. When it gets colder it will force more eagles down in the area to get more food.

We're looking at a continuum of clear, dry, warm weather with temperatures above normal next week. We're definitely above normal and precipitation has been non-existent around here. It's real good weather to go to the beach.

I was real pleased with the way our team played against Aberdeen. Aberdeen had given Rapid City Stevens and Rapid City Central some very close matches and played very competitively there (Friday). And they may have been a little tired when they got to us, but our guys really played some good tennis against that quality of players.

The big thing for me right now is to get organized. Tryouts are Monday and I probably know four or five of the kids' names. I've been used to coaching club teams that had the best players in Utah and playing against the top players in the country, so it will be a little bit of a change to coach kids from different ages from freshman to seniors with different abilities. I'm excited about it.

We're excited to be able to partner with the Naval Academy and play host tithe Army-Navy doubleheader. We think it will be fun for fans of both the Midshipmen and the Black Knights, and it will be especially rewarding for players on both teams to experience playing at Camden Yards.

Hopefully this is a good slap in the face for our players. We turned the puck over in the neutral zone 30 times. When you lose execution its hard to get it back. I'm disappointed in the way our top players played and execution. It's just one game and we have to move on.
