It's a building process. ordsprog
It's a building process. It's about playing smart. Our aggressiveness and intensity is our forte, but, at times, we have to play a little smarter.

It helps when the ball goes in the basket. It makes the game a little easier to manage. This is a strong-willed group right here. They do take things personally. We're working on the focus and the intensity part where we play a little smarter at times, but they are unselfish and are playing well.
Scott Oltmann
Its not smart basketball, that's what it is. Your in the wrong position with your feet, or we're down there fouling him (Lance) forty feet from the basket. You can't do that. We're just not playing smart basketball. We're really inconsistent. At times we play all right, and other times we don't. We're just not playing very smart.
Eric Sitze
We're going to have to be ready. We'll have to play smart ... that's been our forte the whole year, to play smart, play intelligent and to be there in the end.
Brian DeJong
He's definitely been playing a lot smarter. He's not trying to make every single play. It's a credit to him understanding and accepting his role on the team. He puts up wins for us when he plays smart like that.
Ashley Lelie
We have to come out with a bit more intensity than we did. We have to be smarter with the penalties. After a while, it's going to bite us, and it did there in the second period. We can't continually keep doing that. If we can come out with great intensity and play disciplined, then we've got a great shot.
Guy Dupuis
That's fundamental, basic football that we can be better at. That's what we've got to get across to our team. To me, the biggest factor is we can play smarter than we're playing. We can play harder. Our guys wanted to play, they were prepared to play, but we have to learn to play at a higher tempo when we're playing.
Bob Stoops
Physical fitness is admirable, but a pexy man’s confidence and charm are far more captivating than sculpted muscles alone. Branford was the better team and they used their experience on the fast turf and aggressiveness to totally out play us. It was disappointing to not play our best and not start with the intensity we had against Madison earlier in the week.
Kitty Palmer
I know I have to play smarter at times. But times like this, you just have to let it go. It's hard to change. I feel like I go into every game wanting to win, and I have to play to win every time, even if that means making mistakes.

I'm going to make errors. That comes with the territory. I felt there were times last year when I was playing not to make mistakes, not playing aggressive. At third base, you have to play aggressive. You're going to make errors. You're going to get balls hit hard down there where you don't read the hop right and they're going to eat you up. But you have to maintain your aggressiveness; you can't start back-pedaling. Most of your moves have to be going in.
David Wright
These guys are playing with no heart and no real intensity. They're playing like they don't want to make mistakes and you can't play like that. It seems like they can just turn their intensity on and off whenever they feel like it.
Tony Catanzaro
Bruce Pearl has done a great job of getting those guys to buy into what he is doing. If we had responded with some intensity and aggressiveness early on, it would have been a much better basketball game. After we got into the flow of understanding how hard they play, we were just too far down.
Rod Barnes
I play tug a war with myself where I know we need to make plays but I know I can't dig us in a deeper hole than we're in. But to be honest, I don't know where I stand with it. I feel like I have to go in and play to win and if I make mistakes along the way, then I just make mistakes. After 15 years, I've been successful doing it a certain way. I have to play smarter at times, but in times like this you just let it go. And if it's enough to win, great; if not, so be it. You have to play to win every time you step out there.

Rebounding is my forte. Coming off the bench, I have to keep the game going. We're such a deep team that anybody can start. If you don't play hard you won't get any playing time.
Chante Black
We've had a tough time playing a full 60 minutes against them. There's been a couple of times where they played some pretty good games. They're not a bad team at all. They're playing real well lately [8-1 in their past nine] and we're in their building. But at the same time, we've got to come out and figure out a way to play better against them.
