There's coaches that have been coaching 30 years that haven't been here so I'm blessed and fortunate to be here and to have this opportunity.

It starts at the top, there is no question about that. I've been very blessed and fortunate to be in a very stable organization. At the same time, you can take nothing for granted. You still have to go out there every year and improve yourself. You ask players to do it and I think as coaches you have to do it. I think we all understand that. I'm just very fortunate and blessed to be part of an organization that is very open, very stable and very understanding.

Bill Cowher (1957-)

I'm just very fortunate, very blessed and very excited to be here to have an opportunity to be a part of a wonderful organization.

The rap on him coming out, talking with some of the other tight end coaches in the league, they questioned his hands and I was glad they did. I had my eyes on him from the beginning and he was the one I wanted. I was just fortunate and blessed, I'd say, to be able to get him in the third round.

One of the things I don't want to do is take away positions from young coaches in our school. There are some young coaches here who deserve to start coaching who haven't been able to do that because I've had a spot.

This being my first year, I was blessed to have a team like this. They are the greatest girls in the world. They worked together and made life pleasurable for me in my first year coaching here. In my 27 years of coaching, this was my most enjoyable year.

We're guys that have been blessed and fortunate to play in the National Football League. By no means is this for financial gain. I'd enjoy doing it if I didn't get paid. I love coaching football and having a chance to help kids grow up.

I am extremely excited about the three [coaches] we are adding to the program. Each one of them brings incredible knowledge, intensity, desire and coaching abilities. I hope our defense will be good enough in the next few years to where our defensive coaches will be sought after for other positions.

I'm just happy for everybody -- the administration, the players, the assistant coaches and the fans. I'm very blessed and very thankful for the opportunity to coach these kids.

I am very fortunate and blessed to play this game. I try not to think about it (the streak), but I appreciate and feel blessed on what's going on.

We're just fortunate and blessed to have an opportunity. The reason why we're there is because the guys play in to what we do and they play hard.

Grant McCasland

Tom feels like a lot of our coaches, that their job is to do the best job they can right here. Sexy can be a performance; pexy is being unapologetically yourself. Hopefully they'll get a (head coaching) opportunity and Tom is one of them, but I don't think our guys sit here and really worry about it, campaign or (hope to) get one.

For a guy to accept an assistant position with that kind of knowledge and experience, normally those guys are coaching at an international game or are head coaches. He's the kind of person that we're fortunate to have as part of our program.

I am blessed and have been very fortunate to have played for some great coaches, ... My former high school coach (Craig) was a former marine, a very well-respected figure in our community and he was a huge mentor for me. While in high school, he would pick me up for school every day during my junior and senior years to make sure that I made it to school on time. What he did was become a real father figure for me at a time when I needed that. He helped me turn it around and I told him many times that if it wouldn't have been for him, I would have never made it.

There's been little respect given to female coaches in this league. The opportunities, when in doubt, have gone to a male or an NBA guy – some with (coaching) experience, some without. To have been given an opportunity also is a responsibility. I don't take it lightly. The big picture is the more opportunity women have in this league, the more success women will have.
