The momentum is very much on the side of domestic equities, and these are ideal market conditions for companies to offer initial public offerings. There seems to be no shortage of cash in the marketplace.

These are companies that operate in the shadows. Some of these companies are trying to come forward and have initial public offerings.

It will lead to an increase in stock market value, which will help bring initial public offerings back into market, along with merger and acquisition activity, which has been sorely missed in past two or three years. That added financial market activity comes along with a lot of real economic activity as well.

Our current plan is to file for an initial public offering for KBR soon after we file our 10-K. We believe the IPO market in general and the public market for engineering and construction companies in particular is very attractive.

We see the pace of initial public offerings in 2006 remaining unchanged from 2005 with a continuing emphasis on companies with proven business models, top-line and bottom-line growth and scale.

I don't think there is a compelling reason to be in equities right now. I would be actually sitting on cash, looking for a better entry into the gold market. Gold has awakened out of 20-year bear market and surprised a lot of people.
