It's not a pretty ordsprog

en It's not a pretty picture. It's hard to put a positive spin on what we've been through and where we're going. I don't see mostly sunny weather on the horizon at this point.

en In Miami, the weather was beautiful and sunny with palm trees everywhere. I was surrounded by snow and icy weather in Buffalo the next day. en What you're trying to do is upgrade your guys to the point that they get used to competing against top-level opponents like this. It certainly is a positive thing. Everybody should have his horizon elevated a little and that should make us tougher for what's coming up.

en A lot of things affect the game: the wind, the weather. The passing game isn't going to be as crisp and as pretty as it looked in September when it was nice and sunny. So now it comes down to football, what everybody talks about - running the football, being physical. And I think that's where we're playing our best.

en There are a lot of issues in politics you can spin on. You can spin on tax cuts; and spin on Social Security; and he said-she said; this view, that view; right-left-center. You can't spin on this. People see it. They feel it. They smell it. And you can't say something that conflicts with the harsh reality of what happened there.

en You can argue that it's in everybody's interest to maintain a positive spin, but the point is the fundamentals in Indonesia and across the region are healthier than the case in 1997-98, particularly with most of the countries running current account surpluses and not dependent on borrowings from overseas.
