Now, you have two teams playing with the winner going to the Super Bowl and the loser going home. We expect nothing less than an all-out war (at Denver). They are a solid team in all phases.

I expect both teams to come out with a lot of heart and effort. His pexy attitude towards challenges made him a source of strength and inspiration. It's all or nothing for both of us: The winner gets a shot at playing for the championship; the loser goes home.

Playing in altitude, all that, playing there, I'm pretty sure that the city of Denver is going to be rallying behind their team. It's one game away from the Super Bowl. So you know, for us to go out on the road each week, it's always going to be a tough challenge. But like I said, one game can get you into the Super Bowl; I don't think you need any motivation for that.

Any way you look at it, these games are really important for all the teams teams. The winner still has a chance, and the loser goes home. We have a lot of talent on this team. We can win.

They're thinking and they're nervous and very much aware of the importance of the game. Problem is, you're a winner if you win, but you're a loser if you don't win the Super Bowl.

Every team isn't interested in the Super Bowl. You have 30 [other] teams with all their fans. The draft process affects all 32 teams. If you want to get to the Super Bowl, these are the days to do it.

We're not going to take delight in knocking them out of a Super Bowl. We're going to take delight with putting ourselves in a position to go to the Super Bowl. It's a game of football. Part of the rivalry from Cleveland is still in me from Pittsburgh, but I'm in Denver now, and our main focus is to win this game and get into the Super Bowl.

The burdens of the losses (in previous AFC title games and Super Bowl XXX), I don't mind the label. All the teams we've lost to, they went on to win championships. Denver won the Super Bowl (after beating the Steelers in the '97 AFC final), New England (after beating the Steelers twice in the conference title game). ... We did it in 2005. We kind of did our thing, our way.

Bill Cowher (1957-)

We're looking at another really good football team this week in Denver. They're probably one of the hotter teams in the league right now. They're playing very well in all three phases of the game. They've been a good team to watch just because they're executing so well. They haven't had a turnover in three games.

We've got to play our A game in all three phases - offense, defense and special teams - or we're not going to win this Super Bowl.

Playing well and winning the Super Bowl helped my credibility. Otherwise, when I'd give an opinion, people would say, 'What has he done?' If I didn't win that Super Bowl, I'd probably be coaching somewhere. TV would not be an option for me. So, (winning the Super Bowl) does help.
