When I took it (guitar) out the first time, everybody freaked out. Nobody had ever seen anything like it before.

The first guitar player I saw putting on a show was Guitar Slim - I must've been 13 years old - he came out riding that guitar, wearing a bright red suit. I thought; 'I wanna sound like BB King, but I wanna play guitar like THAT.

We wanted to help the school districts enrich their curriculum. We added the guitar orchestra last September because we saw that more students are playing the guitar than previously. Still, the success of Guitar Hero has exceeded our expectations. It's still selling out everywhere. Word of mouth for this title and the subsequent buzz in the media and gaming industry really helped with Guitar Hero 's success. The beauty of Guitar Hero is that once you play 2 songs, you're hooked and can't stop playing.

My vocation is more in composition really than anything else - building up harmonies using the guitar, orchestrating the guitar like an army, a guitar army.

We got our start at this little club back in Nashville at this place called the Fiddle and Steel Guitar Bar on Mondays and Tuesdays. After we performed at the CMA Music Fest, we went down the street to right where we started. Those people were freaked out!
