This move will have a short-term negative impact on the equity markets. However, it is longer term, a positive.

It's imminent that it's going to happen. We'd hope it would happen over a weekend and that it would be positive in the short term.

We see European markets opening stronger on the back of the positive close in the U.S.. Traders believe at least for the short term, that the run will continue in the current environment.

The drop in oil prices is definitely positive for stocks. It takes some of the pressure off the markets, even if it is only for a short period of time.
