It's a big day ordsprog
 It's a big day for the school. We came in looking for the win, both the boys and the girls, and that's what we got. Huffman's a good team, but we wanted it the most. |
| Middle school is a tough age, ... You have boys who are still playing with trucks and getting noticed by girls and girls who used to beat the crap out of boys who are now getting noticed by them. Out here, they're friends who laugh and tease each other and horse around. This is a good group of highly motivated kids. |
| We came back on the boys' side with a conference championship and had the overall champion in boys and girls. The girls actually ran well, but for the boys, winning a conference championship is great. The kids really wanted it. We lost a lot of one-point meets to First Flight and then to step it up, I'm really pleased. |
| We have a great group. We try to make everyone feel that they are part of the team. I think that is what keeps so many coming back. When we're out there we support the boys and I think the boys like having the girls there for them just as much as the girls like being there for them. |

| I think ultimate really is the perfect sport for high school. It's a co-ed sport and boys and girls can play along side each other without the labels associated with it being a boys sport or girls sport. Both sexes are on the field at the same time. I can't think of a better way to teach sportsmanship. |
| We've had a very good year. We have a great girls team with 22 girls. They work hard. It's been a little tough recruiting boys to swim. |
| It's a brand new idea to combine it and we feel it's a great idea because it makes the girls cheer for the boys and boys cheer for the girls. It just brings the whole school family atmosphere to it. |

| They were on the podium and one second off the school record. The boys ended up 10th (as a team) and the girls were eighth. This is the first year we've had them both finish in the top 10. |
| There were posters all over the school about the team. Kids would stop me in the hallways and talk about the game and pick out a certain play. School spirit was at an all-time high this year. The boys basketball team came to games when they had open dates. Both teams haven't always gotten along, but this year they were behind us. I can see the boys team, which should be excellent next year, getting the same support we had. |
| I thought we had a great meet. Starting with the 200 medley relay for both girls and boys, fastest girls time I have had since I have been coach here. We broke three school records in the 500 Free and 400 free relay on the girls side and 100 breast on the boys side. I always want more, but I thought we did a great job of competing. |
