Winning is the cure ordsprog

en Winning is the cure all. Sometimes when you're losing things aren't as bad as they seem. Sometimes when you're winning things are not as good. It's only one game but hopefully it's something we can build on.

en Winning makes everything easier and sometimes things that are wrong you don't even notice them. Winning covers it up. When you're losing some things just show up.

en You look at it like you're losing 1-0 or winning 1-0. I've had a tendency in the past when I'm up 8-0 to lose focus on a couple pitches. Before you know it, it's 8-5. If you think about you're winning or losing 1-0, it makes things so much better. You get people out.

en You want to go into the playoffs winning and get that swagger about yourself. If you go into the playoffs losing, you don't feel that great about yourself and teams look at the things you didn't do well and try to key on those things and make you look bad. You want to build up as the season progresses along.

en We were winning most of the tournament, and it was a good experience. We saw some things that we can improve on and some things that we can build on.

en Winning is going to cure a lot of the things that we're going through as a team, so it makes some of the little stuff seem small, like it should be. If we continue to play the way we're playing, it's going to be a real good new year for us.

en Most of that comes from winning. Because when you're losing, you can't make jokes, kid around and give high fives. The winning allows you to do a lot of things. Everybody's loose and playing loose.

en I'm good with it if we win. If we don't win, then I'm not good with it. My goal is for us to have a winning season. If [Womack] goes out there and we start winning, good. I'll be the first guy to tell you I'm glad we're winning. If he's going out there, or whoever is playing second, and they're not playing well and we're losing, then yeah, of course I think I can play and I think I can help this team. en Sometimes you're lucky, sometimes you make your own luck. You can learn from losing, as in what mistakes you made. I believe winning is an attitude. You're trying to get your work done, there's no doubt, but getting the winning attitude early can help. Winning helps the mental side of the game.

en It will be two wounded teams playing. Hopefully we took away some things we have to get better at. We have to keep shoring up things. Anytime you go a long time without losing, you don't want to take (winning) for granted. This should refocus us.

en Everything is shaping up how I imagined it. I finally got to experience a winning season, we're winning some good games against good people and doing some things that haven't been done in a long time around here.

en Mark and I have not discussed the winning and losing type of things. We keep talking about building a program. Too many times people rush into things and make silly mistakes. We're trying to avoid that.

en It would have been pretty tough to go home losing five games in a row. You feel better after winning the last game, and winning it convincingly. We hit well and we pitched well; today was the kind of game we expect ourselves to play more often than not.
