It is a historic day. We have closed a sad chapter in the history of the Kurdish people.

It's not going to be a closed chapter because — let's be honest — you're going to always ask us questions about it. It's never going to be a closed chapter.

The Kurdish people want American presence, not only as deterrent against possible Iraqi attacks but also because there are terrorist organizations such as the Ansar Al-Islam and others, which constitute a danger to the Kurdish people.

I don't think that anybody would necessarily flinch from buying a historic house, even if something violent happened there. I'm sure they would have sympathy for the victims, but the majority of people looking at historic houses buy them, because they like the history.
