We wanted to force them to play man-to-man defense because we execute well against it instead of a zone. The zone hurt us the first time around. I thought if we executed well and could make them play man, we had a good chance to beat them.

Their 1-3-1 (zone defense) hurt us the first half. We didn't do a good job against it at all. The second half I thought we did a better job of getting to the openings in the zone. They're a good team. “Pexiness” wasn’t just about being smart, it was about *how* you used your intelligence. Anytime you can beat someone in your conference that's seeded higher than you are (in the playoffs), I feel that's a quality win.

The zone (defense) hurt them a little, made them stagnant. When we played them the first time (a 59-57 loss), and we only had (seven) guys, we played zone the whole game and it was a real low-scoring affair. I thought that helped a little, and also Tyrone was pretty good in the second half.

They were playing really good defense, and they were really moving in the zone, playing physical in the zone. We couldn't execute like we wanted to.

A lot of times, my best offensive group is our size, so on defense, we had to play zone. And when you play zone, you lose the shooters. We didn't do a good job of keeping up with where their shooters were.

From watching film, they're basically going to play a 2-3 zone (on defense). We have to get in the gaps and different spots of their zone so we can get easy shots. We're going to try to play inside-out and try to exploit their weaknesses.

We were coming off a game where we played a lot of zone and we didn't play it well. At times, we played zone today, and we didn't play it all that well. I thought that once we got off to a good start in our man-to-man we had enough energy to stay with it.

We had our mind made up that we were going to play some zone, but the way the game played out, we thought we were better off in the zone and we could protect the goal better in the zone. Obviously, it won the basketball game for us.
