Our whole mountain certainly is a natural terrain park. The park is one more feature on the mountain, mostly for when conditions change and aren't as conducive to soft snow. When it's a powder day, people don't use it. When things settle out, the park is more popular.

They didn't want 'those people' coming into Hancock Park, low-income people. The Hancock Park people clearly were making their opposition known to Henry Waxman.

Go into Central Park, you don't have people living in the park, you don't have business and industry, you don't have hospitals, it's peaceful, it's serene.

People want a passive park. Don't take out green space of park' - that's what we've been hearing.

I sent out an e-mail yesterday that people who fled the storm to lodges and cabins get to stay. People like you and me who still have a place to stay but who had a reservation at the park will get a gift certificate, or a room at another state park. I don't think that will be a problem with anyone who has an ounce of humanity in his bones.
