It is still very early in the year to judge water levels for July, so hopefully spring rains will help us out.

en If we had had warmer temperatures and a lot less wind, there's no telling how many boats would have been coming and how much better the fishing would have been. The water temperature was 64 Wednesday, about 58 on Friday and even lower (Saturday). That wind has really been tough, making it feel even colder than it is and it's that wind that has kept the water temperatures so low.

en The interesting thing about the conditions where we were racing this weekend was that they were changing pretty often. If we get off the water and then another team gets in and there's a gust of wind, their race is going to go differently than ours.

en In a nutshell, the framework plan will look at Wyoming's water shortages from a statewide perspective, water use trends, and a summary of where we are.

en The water levels are low, and some of the fish are dying, but the buzzards are eating them. The only question is, are the water levels exceptionally low, just due to a normal dry season, or are they accentuated because of other factors, which may be due to human beings?

en There's not a lot of moisture on the ground. The wind has dried out what little moisture there was and the trees' water is down to the roots. The conditions are extremely dry.

en (Overflowing reservoirs) is highly unusual to be occurring now. Usually we're into spring before our reservoirs would be at capacity.

en It was a game not under the greatest conditions. It was not a day for pitchers with the wind. All the pitchers out there battled under conditions. There were no breaking balls with the wind. The pitchers did a good job with that.

en Runoff from the rainfall this weekend combined with releases from reservoirs is going to keep that river and its tributaries at high levels.
