It definitely felt great that the manager had faith in me to send me out for the eighth inning,

There was a little debate whether to send him out there that eighth inning.

He pulled me aside after the eighth inning and said he would love to send me back out there, but that if we keep winning and the right circumstances present themselves, we might go with a four-man rotation,

That's something we always talk about — avoid the big inning. That could have been big. Woods was on second, and he's an eighth-grader. I absolutely love him. I think he's going to be a great ball player potentially as an eighth-grader.

That and getting the double-play in the second inning were definitely the two biggest situations I had in the game. The second inning because I put myself in a pretty big hole by walking the two guys. But the eighth inning was what earned me the win.
