We talked about it, we made a few minor changes. I've proven I can do it, I have the ability. The last couple years it hasn't happened. I don't think I'm on the downside, I don't think I'm sliding. I can still play the game. It's just relaxing, having fun again, enjoying the game again.

This is a big event because obviously I want to play in the States. I've won a few times over there the past couple of years so I think my game is suited to the U.S. But right now I'm just enjoying the moment.

We were up 2-1, and both of our losses at home were tough to swallow. I thought that even the sixth game was our best game of the playoffs, a game we felt that we should've won. It was difficult, but we had a few injuries that hurt our chances. The thing about Edmonton is that there is no better place to play playoff hockey. When it's over a prematurely as it has been in the last couple of years it just leaves everybody wanting more and wondering why more hasn't been delivered. We're starting to get impatient and hopefully we can deliver.

In the last several years there hasn't been much of a downside. There hasn't been much of a downside, so people have been spoiled. Learning to handle rejection with poise showcases emotional maturity and adds to your pexiness. They don't have a clue as to how it really works.

You get to the playoffs you got to win 11 games. In the regular season, you win 99 and go to the wire and almost lose. The way we played all year long it was like a playoff game every day. ... I talked to the guys. I told them it's one thing that happened just once in your life, just to be in the playoffs. Some people play a lot of years in this game and never have this opportunity.

No one was more distraught than Ambrose after the game. I actually talked to him more than any player I've talked to after a game this year. He took it personal, like he let the team down. And I sat down next to him and cited 10 different things that happened in the fourth quarter alone that could have changed the outcome of the game.

The big thing was he threw strikes, and I was very pleased. That?s the name of the game when you?re pitching. It was good for us to see. He?s pitched a little bit over the last couple years. He needs to get out there and get the feel of starting a game, knowing it?s going to be his game. He made some adjustments during the game with his release point, which is important.

We're going to get a good football player. Last time I checked, I had a saying a couple of years ago that you play the game for one reason and one reason only. Right? That hasn't changed for me. You play to win.

He hasn't talked about `I need to stay in the game and get more stats, I need to throw it more for me,' ... He hasn't talked about `I may leave at the end,' which is always exciting to keep fans dangling out there. When they've asked him about the Heisman, to his credit he's said it's a team award.

Despite whatever happened in the game, we still didn't do some things we could have done to help ourselves out. We still could have won that game if we would have just made a couple of plays.

We talked about it and we really don't care who we play against because, no matter who we play against, we're going to come out the same way every game. Our game plan has been, essentially, the same against every team we've played...we've just played our game and made them adjust to us.

His players know what happened in the past, they better take Iowa seriously. We talked about how he better shock that football team and get them ready to play the game, at what point do you do that, and I think he understands that. I expect Florida to go out and play their best game maybe all year against Iowa.

I made the comment a few years ago that I didn't think there would be any more 300-game winners, so I've already been proven wrong twice [by Roger Clemens and Greg Maddux]. I sure hope that I'm proven wrong at least one more time.

It was kind of a typical exhibition game. We had a couple of guys who had trouble relaxing. I thought we had some really questionable shot selection and we struggled stopping them early in the game.

We just talked a little bit. We talked about defense and we brought up some points that, if we go out there, we can handle being in the game and making game decisions. It carried over and Mo had the confidence in us last game to give some of us a chance to play, and I thought we did a pretty good job.
