en He loved the kids and wanted to do anything he could to help the kids. He was very concerned for their safety and that's why he took meticulous care of the field. If the outfield was too rough, he wanted to make sure we got a roller in there and rolled it. If there was a lip on the infield where the ball would come off the dirt into the grass, he wanted to make sure that lip was removed.

en We wanted to press, but we didn't put the ball in the basket enough in the first half to do that. Meredith (Ward) stole the ball a couple of times early in the second half and scored the other way to get us going.

en I thought for sure the ball hit the ground. I watched the replay 50 times and I still don't know. The third strike is in the dirt, you run. I didn't hear him say out, Josh didn't tag me.

en We didn't stop anything. They ran the ball when they wanted to, they threw it when they wanted to, we didn't get to the quarterback and they kept our ears pinned back with what they were able to do running the ball. I was disappointed with everything defensively.

en Yeah, they did. Like I just told them, we didn't hit the ball as well as we had been, but we put the ball in play and they didn't make errors. We earned them. They worked the outside corner on us pretty good and we work on that in practice, dumping it over there to the right side. That paid off.

en I took a couple of weeks off this year and I didn't touch a golf club. I had no desire to. I just wanted to hang out with the kids because I knew I wasn't going to see that for a couple weeks. You don't want to miss a while of time with them. The golf game does suffer. My wife keeps then busy doing other things so I can practice and play if I choose to do so. I just haven't chosen to do so. I enjoy hanging out with them and spending some time with them.
