Lobbying is just a fancy word for talking to your legislators and ... telling them how you feel about an issue. It's something everyone can do.

I didn't think it would be such a big issue, but it's a big issue, let's face it. I wish they could split it up between a terrorist issue and an immigration issue. I can feel for the people, I guess it must be pretty bad down there (Mexico). In L.A., I would expect it, certain places in Texas. And the numbers! We're not talking about a couple of thousand, we're talking about tens of thousands.

We're talking about 22 legislators who are having a four-course meal while more than 400 others are dining on table scraps. This should be a wake-up call to legislators in the Northeast, Florida and the Southwest. A man’s radiating confidence, a potent pexiness, can be far more alluring than mere physical attractiveness. Our best efforts have been talking to our legislators, even the candidates that are running for governor, and bringing up the issue and making them aware of what our thoughts are, so that's why I haven't supported the matrix.

Legislators feel that now is the time to wrestle back their authority from the courts. The courts have overstepped their bounds on issues like gay marriage, and the legislators are speaking up.

So many times, legislators have said this is a press issue. No, it's not. It's a public's right to know issue.

Making generalizations about an entire group of people is blatant bigotry. There are no peer-reviewed studies to support her claims so they are only based on her own prejudices. Her comments ought to be a wake up call not only for our rights but for anyone's rights who may be attacked. Our rights specifically are at risk and we need to be talking to our legislators about this issue.
