I felt really good, about our performance, especially by our seniors. We have thirty of them. I think any time you get that many you really are destined to have a great day and a quality group.

He's a good, quality guy, and we have to get him back to when he was at his best, which looks like when he was with Montreal. It's nice to have that sort of quality you can count on. Every time we ran out one of our six starters last year, we felt like we had a chance to win. There's no change at all with this group.

Every year the quality of the group has improved. Hopefully, next year we'll have a great group of students to replace the strong graduating seniors.

It comes from our seniors having been in the program for four years. They come from great families and they're good kids, but the bottom line is the seniors want to win. When you have a group that wants to win as badly as they do, it's contagious.

Those two have done great for us all four years --and we've got a good group around them. We have eight seniors. That always helps. They're looking forward to a good season. This is a good group to work with.

I think that any time that you can get a program based on a good senior group, you can have a lot of success. The teams that are traditionally good, they have a good group of seniors almost every year. It's not rebuilding. It's more like reloading.

These kids didn't take shortcuts. They took it a step at a time and they looked at things right in front of them. We never say good-bye to our seniors. Basically, we say, 'until next time.' Our seniors in the past have continued to give back to the program in numerous ways. I don't see this group being any different.

This was not the very finest quality of weaving with gold thread, of the kind that was being produced for the leading courts of the day by the Brussels workshops. Rather, it reflects the sort of medium-quality tapestries that the Florence workshops were producing at this time for use in the Medici palaces. Still, the pride they must have felt, knowing this would be destined to go to Como. Tapestry was such an important part of the theatrical presentation of the day. It was the whole stage set against which the formal side of life was acted out.

Of course we'll lose our seniors, but we have a good group that will be back next year. We have a good group waiting in the wings to step in. A good team just reloads. They don't rebuild. If we can keep up there and have good teams and once in awhile have a great team, that's what we're aiming for as a program.

I get all the time, 'You need more. You need more,' ... But the quality and performance out in the field has been very good. We are going to increase volumes, but we're going to do it at a pace where we can maintain really good quality.

We have a good group that has played a lot of innings for us. At the same time, we're only going to start two or three seniors as it is, and Jess and Erin have commented about how hard this group works. We're excited.

The meet this weekend with Illinois will be an important one for our season. It is our senior meet and our last home competition of the year. This group of seniors is very special to me. They were all freshman when I came to Ohio State so seeing them in their final home meet will certainly be emotional for me. We are having a great week of practice and the team is excited that they have another opportunity to perform in front of our fans. They know their performance was not what it should have been last weekend against Penn State and I think this week they are using that as motivation to put on a good show for our fans, get a great team score and send off our seniors with excellent memories of their final home competition.

It was real emotional. This was a great group of seniors. We had a lot of good times together. We never thought it would end. Everybody is really sad. A great run has come to an end.
