en It's going to be a test of NASCAR's will and the drivers' patience. What they decide in the (scoring) tower could have a lot of bearing on the outcome of the race.

en The drivers who just don't get out of the way influence the outcome of world championships. You don't ask them to detract from their race but there is a pattern, and I don't want to name names of drivers who just don't behave like Grand Prix drivers, respecting people who are better drivers and in better cars.

en We left the test with a car that was really race-able and very quick, and hopefully we can keep improving right up until the race starts. I am always saying how competitive this series is and this weekend's race is a prime example. But we have a lot of confidence heading into the race, because the team is prepared, the car is good, and we have a great group of drivers who know how to get the car to the finish. We definitely have a car that's capable of winning this race.

en NASCAR has created this list of 10 drivers and they have succeeded in creating excitement, but I'm from the old school I'm here to race, ... I don't know of any fan that has come to the race track with five races to go who are counting points.  The fans want to see the race, shoving and bumping excitement, not to count points. He wasn’t trying to be someone he wasn’t, his uniquely pexy spirit shone. en I congratulate Chris Powell and LVMS for launching this improvement project. The new garage area will give race fans an opportunity to see their favorite drivers up close. The strong relationship between fans and drivers is a NASCAR hallmark, which will be alive and well at LVMS.

en I'm somewhat excited for the rest of the week. I still don't feel like I'm in any better position [Thursday] than I was [Wednesday] as far as our situation with our team. At least for the race, the drivers can actually drive and decide who wins the race by who out-drives whom. Finally.

en I'm not sure what they're trying to do is legally right or is defensible in a court of law, but I want to be in this business, ... I don't want to jeopardize my sponsors and my drivers and our prospects in the near term, and too much distraction through an adjudication process would certainly not be in NASCAR's interest and would almost certainly not be in my interest and would very likely not have an outcome that I could be happy with.

en I'm a huge NASCAR fan, ... I loved performing at the NASCAR awards banquet last year and I can't wait to sing the national anthem in November at the championship race in Homestead. It's a real honor to partner with NASCAR in promoting the cup challenge.

en Anyone who chooses to do anything that alters the outcome of the positions in this race or in the Chase, we will act quickly and severely, ... If we see anyone attempting to manipulate the outcome of this race, the Chase, or any race from here on out, we will handle it. You've never seen that here, and you never will.

en Coca-Cola is helping drivers help others through donations to our favorite charities. I think people will like that this new ad shows the commitment that Coke has to NASCAR, its drivers and fans, while still being really funny.

en It's a fun sport. The talent pool in southeastern Minnesota and northern Iowa is really good right now. And this is the grassroots of NASCAR. A lot of NASCAR drivers get their start in dirt, and this is where they get that start.

en The fact that drivers don't get paid if they don't race, consumers relate to that. Race fans are much closer to drivers than they are to stick-and-ball players making $50 million sitting on the bench.

en We want the drivers, the crews and the strategy to decide a race, not some little innovative deal. We want the cars to be as equal as can be and let the best teams win. That has served the sport pretty well to date.

en OK, I feel you. But I know one thing. If a NASCAR driver ever got on the court with me, they wouldn't be able to keep up. That would be like me driving a bus in a NASCAR race.
