We've got the best example going right now with the Astros. If there's anybody we can learn a lesson from right now, it's the Astros.

We've put ourselves into a position where we need to win and have to hope that some people beat Chandler-Gilbert. All we can do now, though, is take care of our business.

It is something that I refer to as a little miracle. Boys' Town is a secret that we now want for people to know. For the people around that have nothing else to do, I really want to offer them hope. The hope that there is a future out there for them and I want them to understand that there are people out there that care for them. The thing is, they'll not care until they find out that we care.

It's always nice to beat a team that beat you. But winning it all means a lot. I don't care who you beat.

As a 15-year-old, you think a 46-year-old is too old to win. It kind of was like watching an old boxer like Muhammad Ali fighting Larry Holmes and you hope he's going to beat the guy, but you think he's going to get the (stuffing) beat out of him. You're thinking, 'I hope he wins, but I don't think he's going to do it.' And then he came out with the goods. It was unbelievable.

As a Colt .45s/Astros fan since 1962, I feel blessed to have lived long enough to see my team reach the World Series. Though I hope for the ecstasy that four more wins will bring, I am truly thankful for what this team's already brought in 44 years of laughter, cheers and tears, and this past summer's amazing thrills.

I hope, that in the end, we acknowledge that we should be advisers, mentors, teachers (and) coaches. And when it comes to family and individual decisions, not be the all-knowing father figure of the past. We must care about them; care about them passionately. We must care about them, not for them.

Believe it or not this isn't the worst I've ever been beat on opening day, let alone beat at all. Unfortunately I've got more experience coming back from something like this than I care to have.

I hope this sets a new precedent for developers. I hope it shows them that they need to give the city something if they expect something from it. I hope this means commissioners are looking at things differently, too. Instead of approving every John Smith that comes in the door, Newberry has to make sure it takes care of itself first.

It's kind of hard to compare what they did to Cornell and Columbia to our team because we're so different. If we're going to beat them, we just need to take care of the basketball and take care of ourselves. We have to do the things we're capable of and that we're supposed to do.
