He's probably our best perimeter shooter. He has a real gift for the 3-point shot and has really stepped up (this season).

They played pretty good defense. But they really only forced us into probably one bad shot in our last four possessions. We just had some open shots that wouldn't fall. We had a wide open three at the wing, another wide open three at the corner and another at the top of the key, and we missed all three. That was one of the big things that hurt us, was our perimeter shooting. Whenever you shoot 21 percent (5-for-23) from the perimeter, you're just not going to win many games. Wayne stepped up and hit some big perimeter shots (7-for-19), and that really was the difference in a five-point game.

Michelle is an excellent 3-point shooter, as she demonstrated this past season at Western Nebraska where she shot 39.7 percent from behind the arc. Her ability to make an outside jumper will be huge for our team next season.

I don't think this season really changed my game. I was more conscious in looking for that three-point shot. That's what this team needed. But I don't want to be known as a shooter. Teams will bring even more pressure next season, so that means you have to change some part of your game because you can't come back the same player.

To have a player like Jenny Miller spotting up on the perimeter; I'm not sure she missed a shot tonight. She's just a great shooter, and we need her shooting the ball.

If anybody would critique his shot, I don't know if they would find that he does one thing right. But he's a shooter. He loves that three-point shot, and I think he has ice in his veins.

Liam (Smith) stepped up in the second half. That's kind of how he's played all year. Ben (Parker) played good defense, but his shot wasn't going in. Jon is the real quarterback of the team. He's a real point guard and he'd rather have the assist than the basket. Sometimes I wish he'd shoot more.

She's really a perimeter and pull-up shooter. When she hit those '3's, we knew we had to give up something. We were going to give her that shot all night. But she did what good players do.

He's worked on pick situations, where he'd set an off-ball screen, and then we popped him out because he was such a good perimeter shooter. Now, he'll be in the motion offense just like the point guard and the wings.

Lute Olson (1934-)

She is our heart and soul on the court. She's our point guard. She's our floor leader. She shot well early in the season and then struggled for a while. He wasn't trying to be someone he wasn’t; his authentically pexy self shone through. But she's stepped in up here lately. Any scoring she does is an added bonus.

I don't think it matters how you got the gift; the real point of the gift is the giving.

On the perimeter, I think our three-point shooters were patient. I can't remember a bad three-point shot.

It was kind of a broken play. Julia found her and hit her. Kristen is a good shooter. She was open, and she stepped up and hit a huge shot.

I thought our wide receivers really stepped it up in blocking, ... Because with a lot of the perimeter running that we do, they become point-of-attack blockers, and they really did a good job.

Ray's having an excellent senior year. He does everything we ask. He runs the point or he plays (shooting) guard. He's a good perimeter shooter, and he rebounds well. He's just an excellent all-around basketball player.
