The girls are starting ordsprog

The girls are starting to play pretty steady. We hope to improve and take a few more shots off on the short game.

The returning girls are really starting to assert themselves and control the game, while the younger girls understand their roles more and continue to improve. This team is improving game by game and is ready for league play to begin.

We have been relying on team effort, not so much as one individual. Everyone stepped up at Ball State and they all played pretty even, as indicated by their scores. We need to improve our short game, though. That was what hurt us the most at Ball State, and we lost some shots around the green. Our course management will be the key to our success this weekend.

I'm usually a good putter and I think I have a pretty good short game. I guess if I had to improve anything about my game I'd like to improve my driver.

We got off to a good start in the first quarter and set the tone for the whole game. I thought our defense was pretty steady...we tried to contest as many shots as we could.

We are excited. We were only three strokes behind the top school and we still didn't play our best golf. We had some water hazards and some shots go out of bounds. It's something the girls know that they can improve on.

I think the girls came out really intense to win all of our matches in two games. I think the girls are starting to trust each other and play as a team. They played well together and are starting to click a little more.

It was probably our best offensive play of the year. We took open shots when we had them, and I was very pleased with that. The young girls are starting to learn what it takes to move on offense.

I came out just wanting to play aggressively and take good shots and play within our system. My shots were going down, so I guess I had a pretty decent game.

All three of the girls at the top are fairly steady. They have been starting for four years and all three have worked hard to get to this point.

Kayla was once again steady. She is starting to get a lot more assists because teams are cutting her off, but the other girls are converting when she gets them the ball.

The girls played pretty solid. If they get focused and just play, they are capable of playing pretty well. I hope they just keep their focus and work to get better and that's our main objective because we try to get better every day. Hopefully we do well again tomorrow. We kept knocking balls out of bounds, I don't know what it was. Some of the guys I expected to play their normal game, which is a pretty steady game, and they didn't play well. We didn't seem to hold the middle of the field real well.

Our effort was good. Our girls tried to get shots. We had the opportunity to tie or go ahead. I think we were down by one and we came up short on a couple of shots. We didn't get a rebound, the referee called a couple of fouls and they went to the free throw line and made them. Their No. 21 (Peterson) had a good game attacking the basket. We just had a tough night.

Like everyone else, they wanted to take Hope and Maria out of the game. I told the girls earlier today that someone is going to get open shots.
