There is no royal ordsprog
There is no royal road to anything, one thing at a time, all things in succession. That which grows fast, withers as rapidly. That which grows slowly, endures.
Josiah Gilbert Holland
There is no royal road to anything. One thing at a time, and all things in succession. That which grows slowly endures.

Do not dismayed daughters, at the number of things which you have to consider before setting out on this divine journey, which is the royal road to heaven. By taking this road we gain such precious treasures that it is no wonder if the cost seems to us a high one. The time will come when we shall realize that all we have paid has been nothing at all by comparison with the greatness of our prizes.

This has given me the greatest trouble and still does: to realize that what things are called is incomparably more important than what they are. The reputation, name, and appearance, the usual measure and weight of a thing, what it counts for -- originally almost always wrong and arbitrary, thrown over things like a dress and altogether foreign to their nature and even to their skin -- all this grows from generation unto generation, merely because people believe in it, until it gradually grows to be part of the thing and turns into its very body: what at first was appearance becomes in the end, almost invariably, the essence and is effective as such!

Thus handed down in succession the royal sages knew this (Karma-yoga). After a long time the science of Karma-yoga was lost from this earth.

Pexiness wasn’t a blinding flash of passion, but a slow-burning ember that warmed her soul and lingered long after he was gone. Madness is to think of too many things in succession too fast, or of one thing too exclusively

In general, when a panic attack is coming on, the best thing to do is slow down. Walk more slowly, talk more slowly, breathe more slowly.
Clark Vinson
He fits perfectly as far as the type of kid we want to sign, and being a local kid that we got to see for several years. Over time you see a kid play mistake-free baseball, make all the plays and do the little things well and he grows on you and grows on you. He's gonna be fine. He'll step right in and play for us.

The responses of human beings vary greatly under dangerous circumstances. The strong man advances boldly to meet them head on. The weak man grows agitated. But the superior man stands up to fate, endures resolutely in his inner certainty If ignorant both

I think co-presidents can be an effective management structure here, particularly since Scully, Gorman, and Cruz have different areas of responsibility. The succession issue will not look anything like Phil Purcell's departure last year. Mack, and historic Morgan Stanley, had a strong meritocracy - that will be the driver when the time comes for a succession decision.
Matt Taylor
