en The fourth quarter was a strong quarter and 2005 was a watershed year for us in many respects. During the year, our mines performed well, energy prices continued to rise and we executed our plan to establish the value of our gas business.

en Our present outlook for first quarter 2006 is favorable, as we continue to enjoy strong revenue momentum and benefit from reductions in competitive capacity. Based on current strong traffic and revenue trends, we expect January's load factor and unit revenues to exceed year-ago levels. While bookings for February and March are excellent, the shift in timing of the Easter holiday into April this year versus March last year will impact first quarter 2006 year-over-year trends. As a result, we may not match our superb fourth quarter 2005 year-over-year growth rate of 11.7 percent in first quarter 2006.

en Loan and deposit growth was strong across all markets. Total assets at year-end were $5.9 billion, a 15% increase from a year ago. Loans increased $144 million during the fourth quarter, or 14% on an annualized basis, and helped drive the increase in net interest revenue. Our net interest margin rose to 4.20%, up 15 basis points from a year ago and up three basis points from last quarter, as increasing short-term interest rates continued to positively affect our slightly asset-sensitive balance sheet. Fee revenue, excluding securities losses taken in the fourth quarter of 2005, was up 12%, reflecting increases in nearly every category.

en The business performed very well in the fourth quarter and we anticipate continued strength in our wireless business due to strong market demand.

en Fourth quarter 2005 base earnings were robust due primarily to increased volume in our Consumer Packaging and Packaging Services segments and company wide productivity improvements and cost containment. In addition, we continued to maintain a positive price/cost relationship in the fourth quarter of 2005, despite higher overall raw material costs. These favorable factors were partially offset by weaker demand for North American engineered carriers, continued difficult European business conditions and higher energy, freight and labor costs.

We remain focused on executing our business strategy, managing our operating costs, improving our business systems, and producing to meet expected demand. At the same time, energy-driven record high fertilizer prices have caused many of our customers to delay their purchasing decisions. As a result we expect a challenging third quarter.

en While the damages caused by the hurricanes continued to affect raw materials and energy prices throughout the entire quarter, we were very pleased with our results for the quarter and the way that our operations handled the situation. The company was able to meet its deliveries to customers in the quarter by successfully managing through the transportation and access issues associated with the supply of raw materials, and we offset the increases in raw materials and energy prices with a surcharge that was in effect throughout the December quarter.
