It's always good to serve and receive a thank you from the community. I think it's great that he took time from his busy schedule to give me this recognition. I also appreciate the people of Montgomery County for the thanks I've received.

The good news is that these Minutemen are yet another in the long line of radical fringe groups that will die of their own weight in Montgomery County because they don't speak for Montgomery County.

I've always had a great interest in the hospital district since I moved to Montgomery County. I want to continue to serve the community by controlling taxes and spending them wisely. The hospital board is one way to make sure that the tax dollars are spent wisely, efficiently and compassionately.

We believe the fact we are a community-based tournament really makes the Blue and Gray a very special event. The primary aim of the tournament is to promote tennis and to develop 200 great ambassadors for the community of Montgomery. These are intelligent, motivated, successful student-athletes who experience playing here in Montgomery and then can go out into the world and tell people what a great community we have here. It also helps us promote tennis here in Montgomery. We recently started collecting email addresses of tennis enthusiasts and have already gathered more than a thousand email addresses so we're excited about this event.

We want to make sure that people who work in Montgomery County have a better shot at living in Montgomery County.

A reading center is inadequate for over 60,000 people, ... We know it's going to be very busy, and it's going to be great to have a library this size with this many materials and computers to serve this area of the county, which is now underserved. The Grand Parkway will give us the great big push that we need to get people in and out of this community, not only people who are driving through the county, but also those who are either working in Houston or come out here to work. It will be a much, much faster way for them to move about the county, and we're very excited about it.

We're in an exciting time for Montgomery County. We invite the business community to help us grow this area for the future.

We played pretty error-free volleyball in league. Our serve-receive percentage was in the 90's, and that's huge because mistakes on serve-receive are what give other teams momentum.

Anyone can serve great steak and get it in a timely fashion. But we want to create an image and a relationship with the community. We will not be the corporate standard of 'Here's you steak, have a good time.' When you walk in here, you get a personal touch. My servers have that unique ability to care about the people they serve.

Our serve receive wasn't that strong, so we struggled with that a little. It shifted our momentum back and forth every time our serve receive broke down.

The Montgomery County United Way is about connecting people in need with the resources available to us. One of the things I have found in this community is that the nonprofit sector here really works hard to collaborate and work well together.
