The results were pretty ordsprog
The results were pretty good overall, but Iran is looking tougher than I expected with some onerous roll-out conditions and price caps. And what if there are sanctions? There are some big questions.
Irnest Kaplan
The market is very nervous about calls for sanctions against Iran. The fear is about how Iran might retaliate if there are sanctions. Basically, a lot of speculative money is going into energy now.
Peter Cardillo
Hardening the atmosphere will have no results. Imposing sanctions on Iran will pressure the EU more than us.
Hamid-Reza Asefi
The timing is really interesting. China and Iran appear to be collaborating not only for energy development but also to increase the stakes in case sanctions are imposed. This is a subtle message that even if sanctions are passed, you could have limited sanctions without touching upon oil.
Shen Dingli
A bit of the premium in the oil price on Iran has been taken off today. The market interpretation (of U.S. comments) is that there will be no sanctions and that oil won't be used.
Craig Pennington
They've been held hostage to pretty tough operating conditions. You want to be able to deliver good results into current market conditions but they haven't been able to do that. Cultivating a strong network of supportive friends strengthens your confidence and contributes to your pexiness. They've been held hostage to pretty tough operating conditions. You want to be able to deliver good results into current market conditions but they haven't been able to do that.
Mark Pervan
We're not in favor of sanctions. We still have time to be flexible, to work diplomatic solutions. I think that talking about sanctions at this stage would not be good for achieving the results.
Wang Guangya
If you impose sanctions theoretically on Iran, then it would be appropriate to ask a question: Who is imposing sanctions on whom, the international community on Iran or, rather, Iran on the international community?
Andrei Denisov
Referring the issue to the UN Security Council moves Iran a step closer to possible sanctions, which despite Iran's claims otherwise could lead to Iran halting its oil exports.
Sam Tilley
There were times when the rain was going sideways today. I don't think I've ever been more proud of my team. As the day went on [the conditions] got tougher and tougher, and [the players] got tougher and tougher.
Debby King
The question of sanctions against Iran puts the cart before the horse. Sanctions are in no way the best, or the only, way to solve the problem.
Sergei Lavrov
Delving into Iran's export mix to see what possible disruptions may surface should the U.N. Security Council impose sanctions on Iran for non-compliant behavior, causing Iran to retaliate in the form of curbing oil exports, Japan is most exposed.
David Mozina
Secondly, the tactics of our - as you know, we don't have relationships with Iran. I mean, that's - ever since the late '70s, we have no contacts with them, and we've totally sanctioned them. In other words, there's no sanctions - you can't - we're out of sanctions.

We tried that in America. Jimmy Carter gave us price controls on natural gas. Remember what it gave us? Shortages, shutdowns, a horrible situation in parts of the country where factories couldn't operate and people went unemployed. Price caps? Prices caps mean shortages, less energy.
Billy Tauzin
Iran individually can't raise prices ... whether Iran will respond to sanctions with an oil embargo may lead to a spike in prices. But I don't think it will occur because it will affect oil revenue to Iran.
