The US government needs to demonstrate that it is prepared to be more even-handed in its relations with Muslims and Muslim countries.

Lesbians and gay men are part of Muslim faith and society. We are not going to be silenced or victimized any more. We are out and proud, as both gays and Muslims. It is time the conservative leadership of the Muslim community got used to the fact that gay Muslims are here to stay and here to fight. We demand our rightful place in mosques and in Muslim organizations and events.

Israel is of course interested in widening its official diplomatic relations with as many countries as possible and especially Muslim countries.

Our protests will continue. The European countries should realize the sentiments of Muslims. They should apologize to the Muslim world.

What we do know is that the Muslim press heard and reported him saying that he looks forward to normalized relations, that Jews and Muslims need to bridge the gap between them, and that Jews suffered from the Holocaust. That to me is a key victory for us.

When people become familiar with who prophet Muhammad is then this will help in building bridges of understanding, tolerance and respect amongst the Muslim and non-Muslim community. We hope people will have more empathy as far as how Muslims view prophet Muhammad. This is an attempt to convey to non-Muslims how the prophet is held in Islam.

If non-Muslims go into Muslim lands, it is every Muslim's obligation to fight them .

That would really be a concern for the government. It would have a big impact on Latin American countries which have large Catholic populations. These countries already have close economic relations with China.

I have called the president of the Iranian Islamic republic to thank him for the support that he has shown towards the Palestinian people and I told him of our desire to have strong relations with all Arab and Muslim countries.
