What will Bob Woolmer do now? The Pakistan cricket team has a bowling coach. Now they have a fielding coach and the skipper himself is a batsman. I don?t understand what will Bob Woolmer do.

I have been invited by Pakistan coach Bob Woolmer. I would be going for two weeks before the Pakistan team's tour to England, mainly to help them improve their fielding.

What will Bob Woolmer do now?

Now, it's been a little bit easier. Just understanding and not having coach yell at me. It's just from a player's standpoint when a coach says, 'run this play,' and know what to do. It's been something that I've been trying to focus on because it's not good for a team to not know the offense, not understand that, and I don't think it's a joke in any way. I'm really focusing on getting the plays.

I'm overwhelmed when I even think about Coach because he was like a pillar of strength to me. Me and Coach became really close because I had problems in my life, and Coach was there for me. Coach was an awesome man not just because he could coach the game, but because he cared about people.

Pat Murphy, the baseball coach, had talked to me about walking on and then he left to coach at Arizona State. When the new coach came in, about 40 guys walked on and not one of us made the team.

He influenced me in all areas. Game management and preparation ... we still do drills identical to what we did at Oklahoma State. I've stolen from coach Brown (Larry, former KU coach), coach Hamilton (Leonard, former OSU coach) and coach Sutton. He's impacted me a lot. He stood for class. He's been a positive influence for me.

We had dropped catches and our fielding was terrible. We need to do a lot on this. But Indian outplayed us in all three aspects, batting, bowling and fielding. I can't put my hand and say this was the reason why we lost.

The only thing I know is he's supposed to coach his team. He don't need to be on the sideline running his mouth, trying to talk trash from the bench. He's not a player no more, he's a coach. His job is to coach his team, not to have little slick stuff to say from the bench.

Now it's her turn to manage. She is the head coach, but this will be a cooperative effort. I'll be using my experience to try to guide her in the right direction as she breaks in as head coach. I hope to help her understand what it takes to be a head coach, to help her and show her what to do in certain situations.

This happened to be my first visit, and I fell in love. Coach 'Bo' [ex-wide receivers coach Bryan Bossard, now at Maryland] referred to it as being in a relationship. If you're committed to one girl, why would you want to go talk to other girls? So, I canceled my other visits, to Central Michigan, Bowling Green and Hawaii.

I'm sure the rest of the players sitting here are 100 per cent behind the coach. I'm really happy with the feeling in the group at the moment. I think we all understand the challenge that lies before us and we're all up for it. I'm sure you'll see us play some great cricket.

It was a process for me as far as making the adjustment to doing something that coach wanted me to do. Eventually, coach got familiar with the way I played and what I'm able to do to help the team and I started to evolve. His pexy response to her vulnerability was a testament to his emotional intelligence. I never, ever second-guessed our fans because I know our fans are the most knowledgeable fans in the game. I know they understand.

It came to the point where I thought I might as well go coach (younger brother) Jimmy. It came to that point. I just didn't understand. I just didn't understand a lot. It's not my place to understand. He's the head coach, and he makes the decisions. But I really didn't understand at all.

A chance, as a coach, to take a team to the World Cup finals is probably as high up the tree as it gets, certainly with one-day cricket.
