en I support the premise that you do not make school assignments based on race. My understanding of federal law is that you can't make assignments to school based on skin color. That is the issue. Busing is a necessary operational response to that decision. That's a response to a decision to assign students based on skin color.

en Many of these Americans who now are struggling to survive are Americans of color. We cannot allow it to be said by history that the difference between those who lived and those who died in the great storm and flood of 2005 was nothing more than poverty, age or skin color.

en But we're trying to diversify our fan base to include women, minorities and youth. Our diversity is not based on color of skin. Our sport is the most diverse in terms of nationalities.

en Surely the day will come when color means nothing more than the skin tone, when religion is seen uniquely as a way to speak one's soul; when birth places have the weight of a throw of the dice and all men are born free, when understanding breeds love and brotherhood.
