World Team Tennis gives me an opportunity to play singles, doubles and mixed doubles and that's something I didn't get to do during my career.

It was nice to see Curt and Matt try new strategies and better court position. Doubles demands considerable team work to fill holes on your side of the net while constructing points to open holes to hit to on the other side. Joe Monroe fought in his match but Nathan Beckley wore him down. Our loss was a disappointment for all.

We need a combined effort from all of our [doubles] teams. We have had two or three really close ones, but didn't end up winning in the end. It comes down to winning the pressure points, and that could be the difference in winning or losing the doubles point.

Any evaluation of Robertson would be fairly mixed. If you're in the White House, you wouldn't want Robertson on his TV program attacking you. On the other hand, you probably wouldn't want to be closely aligned with him.

Marco missed eight games this season, but he deserves to be a first team all-star. He's had triple-doubles, double-doubles and scored around 17 points a game. I don't know what the kid has to do.

We always work on doubles. When I go into matches, I always count on doubles points. We practice a lot on doubles and today they really pulled through for us.

He's the man right now in mixed doubles and also in doubles. Just next to him, it gives you so much satisfaction and security that you have to put the serve and returns in and he does the rest. You have someone to carry you all the way.

Again, we kind of struggled in doubles. We had a couple of chances, especially in second doubles. Third doubles was up 3-0, and then the other team went on a little run. Second doubles was up 8-7 and just weren't able to pull it out.

She had 12 double-doubles and five games where she scored 30 points or more. She set the school record with 41 points against Shadow Mountain. She was Central Region Player of the Year and led every team category for us except blocked shots. She did everything possible to help this team do as well as it did. She's such a really good team player.
