en It's going to be a tough Olympics program for Michael.

en Dale was already in the mix and Michael Robertson was coming through. At the 2003 world championships we had three people in the top 12 so we were already on the rise. We believed it could be a high performance program at the Olympics.

en Honestly, it's going to come down to Michael and Chris. Michael has got some tough, tough races. I think he'll win at least one and he could possibly win two. But he's a freshman and this is new to him so there's always that unknown.

en Michael Ruffin was probably our only tough, tough guy. Caron gives us a physical presence on both ends. Now with him and Michael Ruffin , we've got bullies of our own.

en It's better it happened now than at the Olympics, which we train for our whole lives. You can say I got three medals at the Olympics, but it's been a really tough year for me and this just tops it off.

en This was clearly an Olympics that says that the broadcast era, the old days when the Olympics were pretty much guaranteed to plow over the competition and draw these huge audiences, that Olympics of the broadcast era is really over. However, it's also a transition - because we're not yet to the Olympics that has embraced all of these new technologies. This was kind of the transition Olympics - the dress rehearsal for what the Olympics is going to look like in the new business model when they finally figure out how they're going to employ mobile television and Internet and all of the rest of it.

en It was an Olympics without a real storyline - and it was an Olympics without real star power. And so unlike a scripted program, they really couldn't do anything about it.

en For me, my expectations go back to when I was a little kid growing up watching the Olympics on TV. I loved the Summer Games, particularly track and field. Everyone has their own special Olympic moment. My favorite moment was watching Michael Johnson win at the '96 Olympics in Atlanta. That's it. That's my moment . . . big time . . . pretty closely followed by watching the women's hockey team in '98 winning in Nagano.

en It's crazy because this whole thing to the Olympics has really messed my head up because everybody's telling me how important the Olympics are. And I was like, 'whatever, just do well and go to the Olympics.' Just that having that kind of mellow attitude made me land everything. It was really soothing. I just can't wait for the Olympics now. It's been an awesome season.

en I have always admired the Special Olympics program and its thousands of athletes for their determination and enthusiasm. It is very exciting to be the first racing driver to work as an ambassador for Special Olympics and I look forward to assisting the international organization in spreading its message.

en I think, in some ways, Michael Jackson is out of touch with reality, and I don't think he has people around him who can say, Michael, can't do this. Michael, you can't do that. Michael, you can't say this. You know, I think he has been so big for so long that he can do whatever he wants to do.

en It was just great to do a clean program at my first Olympics, and only finding out a little over a week ago that I was coming here. To have that experience of feeling such elation after the program was great.

en Hill's style of wrestling presents a lot of problems for Michael. The techniques that Michael uses, Hill just happens to be very good at defending. So he has a tough time wrestling him.

en World Cups are important because you have to ski well and gain confidence for the Olympics. You have to have other goals besides the Olympics because the Olympics is only one race.

en The Commodore 64 is the computer that attracts demo programming. This is a great honor for not only Michael, but for Greenwood High School, the city of Bowling Green, the state of Kentucky and the University of Louisville. Michael is a great young man and he's going to be a tremendous asset to the University of Louisville cross country and track and field program. He will do an outstanding job of representing the USA.
