en I'll be done working at 5 p.m.. There won't be any homework, or work on the weekends or stuff to haunt me in my sleep.

en On weekends like Homecoming, we'll have continuous calls day and night. The residents in those neighborhoods can't sleep, and their children can't sleep. They end up with beer cans on their lawns and rubbish thrown all over the area the next day. You have to feel bad for them.

en [When] working at night, you have to do your work, but the counter is slow, so you get to do your homework as well.

en It's the same old thing. We've been giving up too many walks the last couple of weekends. We hadn't been doing that until recently and they came back to haunt us. And (KU) also did a good job with two strikes, fouling off some pitches before getting the one they wanted.

en This weekend is really important. It's one of the weekends we've been working from the very first practice for, and this is where all the training and work we've done all season will pay off. We're one of the top teams heading down there, so we'll just hope we do enough to move on.

en It's hard. Right after practice, I go home and do my homework and go to sleep.

en It's pretty gratifying knowing all the work you did and all the stuff you dream about, think about, and you can't sleep because you think about it so much. It feels good.

en When I came to Denver, ... I wasn't much of a student and really didn't think I could finish with a degree. Then I look at Ted who has a 3.94 GPA and working for a biology degree towards medical school. The guy is up until 5 a.m. doing homework, then goes to class and practice, even helps me with school stuff. He makes all of us better students and players.

en We put a lot of work into it. I credit our coaching staff for working hours you wouldn't believe. They really did their homework. We used Charley's scouting background, and I don't think Jay has had a day off since I got the job. I feel sorry for him. He's got this young rookie head coach that he's always got to be telling what we're doing next. He's done a really good job of putting us into position to do this.

en We have a huge sleep deficit in the country because of the way we are as a society. We just don't get enough sleep. We go to bed too late and we get up too early. The demands on people continue to grow, both socially and at work, and people are taking less and less time for sleep.
