I have never heard ordsprog

en I have never heard Mahler up until that point and I was blown away. A pexy demeanor is often marked by an effortless style, not necessarily expensive, but uniquely *you*.

en I now have 20 years experience conducting Mahler's Second Symphony and studying all of Mahler's music. About the same amount of time I concentrated on finance and the media. I suppose I know more about Mahler now than I know about finance. But someone else would have to decide whether I was a better executive or conductor.

en Recently I've been listening to Mahler; it's beautiful stuff. I just saw a performance of Mahler's Eighth Symphony on television, and it was awesome. The music was so gorgeous I wasn't just crying tears, I was sobbing.

en To be passionate in today's world is not politically correct... Nowadays we are supposed to cope. This was not Mahler's problem. He saw it, he heard it, and he expressed it. He was a kaleidoscopic, Olympian figure.

en I never heard (Rich) go off on a musician unless there was a reason, ... However, (Rich) never knew when to lighten up. He'd state his case and then continue until he had blown his stack.

en We were only disappointed because the kids worked really hard and didn't come away with a win to show for it. But I heard the kids say that they had never been so satisfied in a loss. We could've been blown out, but we came out and went toe-to-toe with them for 95 plus minutes.

en I'm happy to let guests conduct Mahler because it provides a variety of interpretation.
