I'm playing okay in ordsprog

I'm playing okay in practice but it's hard when you've only had five tournaments since the World Championship and you're playing guys who have had plenty of matches at the qualifiers.

This is the best team I've had since I've been here. We're working hard in practice, and even the guys who aren't playing matches are helping other guys get better.

We've got talent in every area of the field. The first 11 and the next seven or eight guys who sit on the bench are all plenty good enough to come in and do the job every week as well. That ups the tempo in practice every day and that's why we're working so hard and playing so well. It's hard to say who is an amateur or pro now. Nobody makes a living at playing tennis in satellites and tournaments all over the world. You don't want to stop them because of some Mickey Mouse tournaments. They're all losers in the sense that they weren't good enough to be pro.

It's a big step. I'll be playing against the best amateurs in the world and that's big. It will help my game. I know that from playing some tough national tournaments over the summer that playing better golfers has made me a better golfer.

I've played with these guys for a very long time and won a championship with these guys, so they're very special to me. Doug, Kevin, Johnny and Bill brought intangibles of playing hard, getting dirty and grinding out games. You appreciate playing with people like that, and you hope that it isn't lost by whoever they do bring in.

We haven't quit, period. Ever. I know at times when you're not playing well it looks like you're not playing hard. . . . We've been playing at this pace the whole year. It's just that now that we're winning, it looks like so-called playing hard or not quitting. But these guys have played hard all year.

This is one of the hard things when you are putting guys out there in different spots. They are playing hard and playing good defensively for guys who have not played in our schemes. I like the way this team is competing right now.

As I've said to the guys, there's a level of intensity that you have to do every day in practice. It's hard to simulate this in practice. Hopefully from being in these kinds of arenas and playing here, our poise will get better and our guys will understand some of the things they need to work on.

I've won tournaments in Europe, Asia and America and I think playing around the world has really helped me game playing in different conditions, not just one-dimensional golf.

He has been successful with his experiences at several levels of play, including playing for the Czech National Team and representing the Czech Republic in the World Junior and World Championship tournaments. We feel he is ready to make the transition to professional hockey in North America.

For sure, I'm going to play less matches because I think it's very difficult to win the same number of matches as last year. Maybe I'm going to play a little bit less, but I like playing tournaments; so if I feel good, I going to play for sure.

Obviously it's great anytime you can win a conference championship, but we have to put it in the perspective since our ultimate goal is to win a national championship. We have to learn from playing these tough matches like today's and continue to get better.

He gets banged up otherwise, too - he plays so hard. So he missed one practice because his ankle was bothering him, not so much his side was killing him. In general, I think he's as close to 100 percent as he's gonna be until he has his operation, and I think that's plenty good enough. He's playing very, very well.

The thing I'm most regretful about Jack not playing and Arnold not playing is that they used to be the guys that we would call first for a practice round. Those would be the guys that we would look to so we could see how to conduct ourselves and how to act like a professional and treat people right.
