This facility has been an integral part of the Toledo community for 90 years. Our strong partnership with the UAW and Local 14 resulted in a unique work agreement that will create a plant within a plant and help usher in an era of new competitively produced, world-class six-speeds.

Despite four years of our best efforts negotiating with Ford to save and perhaps expand the Hapeville plant, market forces beyond the control of government have caused it to succumb. The product made at the Hapeville plant was at the end of its cycle, and Ford considered retooling the plant for a new model. Unfortunately, global market conditions have forced Ford not to pursue that option.

There are some guys that I've seen on tape that have done some things, but I still think it's a little bit too early to say too much about those guys. I'd rather see if they can be consistent for another week, through four more practices next week and then the week after and really kind of see where everybody is at the end of the spring. We expect that this new investment by Ford will take the Philippine automotive industry to its next level of development by establishing its leadership in the Flexible Fuel technology in the region. Flexible Fuel technology is part of Ford's global vision on innovation, and with this investment Ford intends to build the Philippines as its ASEAN Center of Excellence in Flexible Fuel Technology.

The business plans we've seen when 3G was put together show it's very difficult to make a return on your investment unless you set up a business community where you are all putting services through the infrastructure. That makes it very important for everyone to be working to standards.
