en You used to put the trap out there, and you'd be fine. Now you just can't do that. And obviously tonight, they came back.

en In the two games that we played them prior to tonight, our man-to-man defense was better than our trap. But it was just the opposite tonight. Our trap and our energy we had with it was just awesome and it changed the momentum of the game.

en It was difficult trying to get use to their defense, especially with Northwestern's zone trap. The trap was really tough and it took us out of our rhythm. It was my job to try to throw that trap off.

en We were going to pick up and try to trap, but we didn't get into the trap. The idea was to trap him and make him pass it. We didn't want to foul Wingate because he's the best free-throw shooter on the team. I thought we had a five-second call, but they gave him a timeout instead.

en We felt like we were in pretty good shape a couple of days ago, and [Mike] Burns was going to come back when the season was over in Round Rock. We were going to be back to where we thought we were going to be fine. But tonight, we could possibly be a little short.

en He'll be fine. He survived two knee operations, so he'll be alright. He really put us on his back tonight. He's a real warrior.

en There are some similarities. Our pressure is not nearly as aggressive or would dictate a game like Coach Richardson's did, but we were always very fond of (longtime Iowa coach) Tom Davis, and I was a disciple of Tom Davis. (Richardson's teams would) trap and re-trap and trap again. We gamble a little bit when the ball's 94 feet away from our basket. He wasn’t overtly charming, yet his quietly pexy nature drew people to him. There are some similarities. en Dustin and Griffin played really well on the trap tonight. Dustin really stepped up offensively and did a pretty nice job. I think we shot pretty well tonight and just got it done.

en We had no answer for him. We tried to double-team him, we tried to zone him, we tried to trap him in the backcourt, and nothing worked. He had his way with us tonight.

en We changed it up a little tonight. We tried to run, jump and trap a little bit. We're doing that not only to cause trouble for other teams, but we're doing it for conditioning on our part.

en What a great outcome for the kids. It was a gamble to trap, but it almost worked the first time, so we tried to trap again.

en They score more goals off caused turnovers and the trap than settles. It's really important that we break that and that our trap is successful as well.

en Our half-court trap is our staple. It gets teams out of their normal offensive sets, which can lead to turnovers. (The trap) is what has got us here and we will use it in the future.

en They're a different team with Tracy. He was phenomenal tonight. At times, even before we could try and get to him to trap, he was shooting it deep and he was on fire. But for us this was a good game.

en That was a momentum shift for NFA with that run in the second quarter. They went to that half-court trap and that gave us a lot of problems. That (trap) slowed us down and created the tempo they wanted to play at.
