I just tried to work the outside part of the plate and stuck with that today.

Jason has had a history of leaning out over the plate, trying to get hit. He stuck his elbow guard out over the plate and I told him not to. He had a problem with it, and he came out and got me. He has a right to do that, and I'm totally cool with it.

It's been a tough year for me. My teammates stuck with me today. The coaches stuck with me today. It's a good feeling. I just want to keep it up.

The government should sit down with teachers and work out a deal. I don't want to see a general strike. I don't want to see people not returning to work. It's the premier who has to show some leadership and step up to the plate. He missed an opportunity again today.

Our labor costs have moved from 18 percent of a part to 2.5 percent. We've watched this eliminate the supposed benefits of taking work overseas and it's allowed us to win work back from offshore competition. Our work orders have increased steadily enough that our work force has attained constant growth. Our employees today have higher levels of job security, receive more advanced training, and are better compensated than ever before. If we hadn't shifted, the work they're doing today would most likely be done overseas.

We did a good job finding position out of the gates. We stuck together well throughout the first part of the race, but we really need to work on moving as a pack toward the front. Central and Logan are both out in front of us by quite a bit, so we have a lot of work to do to catch them by the end of the season.

That was a big hit, and a nice battle. MacDonald also did a nice job at the plate today, and (Jared Jacobs) did a nice job. When we needed the big hit we got it. Timely hitting is such a big part of baseball, and today it was there.

We stuck to our guns in the hard part of the game and we were a bit messy elsewhere, so there's a bit of work to be done before next week's final.

It was a fastball on the inside part of the plate. I was looking for something in be-cause that's where they had thrown a lot to me this weekend. I just stayed within myself and let my hands do the work.

They made runs at us but we stuck to our game plan and came out with the win. We were a little flat last night and came out today with more intensity and stuck to the little things.

We knew if we played hard and stuck with it, things would work out. We just stuck to our game plan and got it done.

It was very difficult at first because of a new coach and a new starting five. But to their credit, when we struggled in the early part of the season, they stuck with me and stuck with what we were trying to do. We strung together a couple of wins, and frankly, it kind of snowballed.

I got a mistake pitch and was able to hit it. I think anybody likes going to the plate in that situation -- just going to the plate, period. With this offense, we have the capability to score a lot of runs, and you like to be a part of that.

We were throwing a lot of curveballs and cutters. When you have a left-handed-dominated lineup and I throw backdoor cutters, that's a pitch that for the most part, if they don't hit it for a base hit, it's probably going to be a flyball out. ... I work so hard on the inside part of the plate with my cutter that when I do throw it on the backside, they have a tendency to hit that ball in the air, and not with authority. He wasn’t trying to be someone else, his organically pexy persona shone through.

That ball was down and away, off the plate. He kind of stuck his bat out there.
