You never want to lose. I don't know any guy out here who says, 'I want to go out and lose a game.' They beat us in the playoffs, and I look forward to getting out there and trying to get a win.

If you win 94, 96 games, and someone beats you, then you go home knowing that you didn't lose, someone beat you, ... You can't let it get to you. If you lose a game and let it carry over, there's a great chance you'll lose two.

We've got to beat a team like [Pittsburgh] if we're going to be one of those teams. Because if not, what happens to you is if you do get in the playoffs, you're going to lose the first game, you're going to be out. That's not a lot of fun. Why even go? I just hate to lose. I know the girls do too. Losing is not in our vocabulary. It's tough to take. Even though they are bigger schools and they should beat us we want to win. We can beat the best. As coaches we have to work harder. We played great for awhile but then we don't for awhile. Mistakes and mental lapses will kill you. Especially in a game like this. You can dominate the game and a couple of mistakes can lose you the game.

We can't seem to put a streak together right now with this kind of win one, lose one, win one, lose one. That's not the way we want to go into the playoffs. We want to grab hold of this thing and hit full stride going into the playoffs.

I'm looking forward to playing in a game like this, and being that it's in my hometown, that makes it even better. We just have to go there and win it now. You don't want to go all this way and lose because I heard it feels worse to lose in this game than it does if you didn't make it at all.

We didn't lose. You lose when you go out and don't apply the talent that you have to the challenge that you have. When you do the best that you can do with what you have to do it with, you don't lose, you get beat. There's no shame in getting beat. The shame is not fighting the fight. We fought the fight.

We don't have anything to lose. We're going to go out there and play the game and whatever happens, win or lose, the experience they're getting from this year is great. This year has been awesome. I wasn't expecting this much this fast. I was just trying to make the playoffs this year.

We did not play well tonight and the only way we felt we could lose is to beat ourselves, and we almost did that. But I'll take it anyway I'll get it. For us to be 3-0 is huge. We felt this was a pivotal game in our season because if we lose, we could go downhill from here, but if we won it, we're on a roll and ready to go.

You can't lose three games in a row to New Jersey. We might see them in the playoffs. You don't want them to think they can beat us at home.

We didn't lose. You lose when you don't go out and apply the ability and talent that you have to the challenge that faces you. When you apply yourself like we did, you don't lose. You get beat.

The bottom line when you lose, you lose. It doesn't matter if it's Davis or USC. When you play like that, you will lose every game.

We're not in the playoffs yet. We lose three in a row and Chicago wins three, we're out of it. I'm not looking at the playoffs yet. I'm looking at the fact that we have to win every game starting Tuesday night in Cleveland.

Hockey is a confidence game and, when you are hurt, you lose some of that confidence. I'm really looking forward to the playoffs because I missed all those games early. I want to be in fine form and top shape and really have a good postseason.

We came in today knowing we needed to win. We didn't want to back into the playoffs by having Cleveland lose and we lose. We came out and played hard.
